An unique opportunity will again be available to the Moro Marathon which will allow supporters to view the 2nd half of the event from the comfort of the Taieri Gorge Train.

Supporters can purchase their tickets as well as for those competitors they wish to bring back to Dunedin on the train. Competitors who do not have supporters and want to return to Dunedin can also purchase tickets. The train returns to Dunedin Railway Station only. Competitors will need to have completed the event in time to board the train by the 12.45 pm departure time.

Supporters Train Schedule.

Train departs Dunedin Railway station at 9.30 am. First stop will be along side the Cycle / Walk way between Ravensbourne and Maia until 10.45 am. Second stop is between St Leonards and Curles Point for approximately 10 mins. Next stop will be at Sawyers Bay for approximately 10 - 15 mins. The train arrives at Mussel Bay station (Port Chalmers) at approximately 11.30 am. Supporters can then make their way to Watson Park. The train will depart for return to Dunedin at 12.45pm.

Safety.

Taieri Gorge Railway staff and Excursion Train Trust volunteers will be on the train and have a complete understanding of the safety requirements. On arrival at Mussel Bay station supporters can make their way to Watson Park via a track at the southern end of the station platform. ONTRACK have granted us temporary access. Please ensure that all the safety measures in place are followed.

Bookings

These can be made by E-mailing Taieri Gorge Railway Please specify train, date, number of passengers and contact details. Also include this information if making a booking by post. All postal bookings should be forwarded with "payment" to Taieri Gorge Railway, P O Box 140, Dunedin. All tickets will be returned by post.

Ticket Sales

Purchase of tickets are available now from the Taieri Gorge Railway office at the Dunedin Railway Station. Only 350 seats are available. NOTE:- All tickets are Non-Refundable.
